The Fees

Currently there are no fees whatsoever to use the service. You can post your jobs and view as many resumes as you like during the introductory period. There will never be a fee for a job seeker to post their resume. If, when a job seeker finds a job, they want to donate towards the site to show their appreciation that would be appreciated but not necessary. Those donations will go right back into advertising. You can donate by contacting us for our Paypal info and you are welcome to help out as much or as little as you can.

After the introductory period there will be a modest fee charged to post jobs and view resumes. We wish we could give away the service but it costs money for the advertising, promotion, and management of the site. This is what sets our site aside from the free boards. We have an obligation to provide good service to you and promote participation in return for the fees. If the site were free, you would get the same that you currently get out of any free job board. No advertising, no participation, no resumes, and old job listings.

Currently the large online job boards charge up to $419 for a single 30 day job posting. That explains how they were able to pay $3,000,000 for a 30 second commercial during the Super Bowl! Here at Marine Industry Careers we are not trying to get rich so we can place ads on Super Bowl Sunday. The spirit of this site was born with someone looking for a job and to bring the marine industry together in one place to look for talent, fill positions, and provide jobs to those experienced in boating. That is why our fees will be 70-90% less than the going rates of online and newspaper ads. Once the pricing is finalized, you can expect a job posting fee to be around $80 as opposed to $1200 for a week in a newspaper or $419 for the internet. 

Fair? We think so, but we need your help to promote the site. We will be able to keep the fees low as long as there are people willing to take a few minutes to post a job or resume. So please, dig out those files of past applicants and tell them about the site, help someone find a job. Go ahead and post your job openings right now for free.
